August 21st is the Tradition Day of the Austrian Reconnaissance Troop, and this year this celebration included a special event for us. Recognizing our long-standing cooperation and friendship with the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Batallion in the Mitelbach Bolfras Barracks, the Traditionsverband presented a commemorative band to the Batallion Standard.
We are grateful to the Batallion CO Col. Hans-Peter Hohlweg for accepting this band and to the whole Batallion for the excellent cooperation and friendship over the years!
This mustering of the Batallion also provided the backdrop for officially presenting the Traditionsverband with its "Partner of the Austrian Military" certificate. We had already previously received the notification of the official recognition as Partner in 2021, but due to the COVID restrictions this certificate had never been formally presented. This process has now been completed.
