Three generations of military recovery vehicles (M62 in front, Gräf & Stift ZA 210 in the center and ÖAF 32.281 PK 30 in the rear)

n September 2&3 the Traditionsverband opened its depot in Prottes for its fourth Annual Gathering. Like in the previous years we had a lot of classics on display. Unfortunately the weather on Sunday morning was less than optimal, but the rest of the weekend we could enjoy perfect sunshine and warm temperatures, and some 400 visitors were catered to by our field kitchen

A lot of first-time visitors provided us with memories of the early days of the Austrian Army after WW2, and we want to especially acknowledge the visit of the former members of the “B-Gendarmerie”, the pre-cursor of the Austrian Army before the departure of the allied occupational forces in 1955.

Naturally our M4 High Speed Tractor attracted a lot of attention as the latest addition to our Posch of the Army Logistics Center in Vienna presented his perfectly restored Jenbacher “Büffel”, and the little transport tractor brought back a lot of memories among our older visitors!collection, and the old lady performed flawlessly on many rounds in our yard. Colonel Walter

Next year we will again open our yard for the Annual Gathering – save the date, early September 2018!
