AirPower Celebrates its 25-Year Anniversary - And we were there

AirPower Celebrates its 25-Year Anniversary - And we were there

As in the past nine years, we again attended the AirPower at the Hinterstoisser military airfield in Zeltweg. By invitation of the Military Aviation Museum we provided eight historic military vehicles and displayed the history of ground forces motorization over the last 70 years. A big shout-out to the whole team that supported the massive transportation efforts and ensured a professional appearance of the Traditionsverband at the biggest air show in Europe!

We are starting into a hot Fall Season!

We are starting into a hot Fall Season!

Already on August 31 we start our transport convoys to Zeltweg, where we will be representing the history of Austria's ground forces during the big AirPower air show. As in previous years, on September 2/3 we will again have our exhibits right in front of the entrance to the Military Aviation Museum. With wheeled and tracked vehicles from the last 70 years, we will "revive" Austrian military ground motorization, and our two smallest vehicles (Haflinger and Jeep) will again be in service as VIP shuttles across the whole airfield.

Army Presentation in Baden - We were There!

On May 12, the Army held an exhibition of historic and current vehicles in the center of Baden, some 30 km south of Vienna. By request of the Military Command Burgenland, the Traditionsverband augmented this presentation with several historic vehicles. Around a light Kürassier tank from 1971, we grouped vehicles from the last 60 years.

Huge Success of the First Joint Event by AAB3 and HKFW

Huge Success of the First Joint Event by AAB3 and HKFW

Together with the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion (AAB3), the Traditionsverband on July 9&10 presented "Historic Military Vehicles Offroad". Ten historic vehicles - covering the full range from Jeep and Haflinger all the way to the Kürassier light tank - were driven all over the "Totenhauer" proving grounds of the Battalion and provided our invited guests with an insight into the performance of Austrian military vehicle development over the last seven decades.

"Roll Call" on Saturday Morning

A big "Thank You" goes to to Battalion's PR team under StWm C. Luckner for the excellent preparation and cooperation throughout the event as well as to all members of the Traditionsverband, who "made it happen".

As usual, "After the Event is Before the Event" - we have already started our preparations for attending this year's AirPower in Zeltweg on September 2/3!

New Video: Road March of Kürassier Light Tank to the Exhibition in Baden on May 12

On May 12, the Traditionsverband participated in an exhibition of the Military Command Burgenland in Baden. The highlight was the road march from the old Martinek Barracks where the convoy assembled into the city center of Baden. A huge "Thank you" to the Baden City Police for the perfect escort with two bikes!
