Our partner batallion is again opening its doors at the Bolfras Barracks in Mistelbach on Saturday August 24. As part of this event, we will operate our historic wheeled and tracked vehicles on the "Totenhauer" offroad proving grounds.

As part of a 3-day exercise, 2nd battery of the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion spent a night on our premises in Prottes. After their arrival on May 27, command post and accommodations were prepared, and in the morning of May 28 the Battery started its return road march to their barracks. We were happy to support our partner battalion and are looking forward to the big open-house in their Bolfras Barracks on August 24!
On June 7 and 8 together with a BMP2 from the Heeresgeschichtliche Museum we provided the "historic backdrop" for the Open Hause Day of the 35th Tank Grenadier Battalion (PzGrenB 35) in Grossmittel.
The ÖAF gl sLKW (abbreviation for "heavy offroad truck") traces its roots to the 1973 oil price hike which resulted from the Yom Kippur war in the Middle East. Trying to provide economic stimuli to the stuttering Austrian economy, the government initiated the procurement of a new heavy offroad military truck with 10 t payload capacity.
