August 21st is the Tradition Day of the Austrian Reconnaissance Troop, and this year this celebration included a special event for us. Recognizing our long-standing cooperation and friendship with the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Batallion in the Mitelbach Bolfras Barracks, the Traditionsverband presented a commemorative band to the Batallion Standard.
This July we could deliver on a long-standing promise. The 1st Oldtimer Club Pinkafeld had been inviting us for a long time to again join their annual gathering with our historic military vehicles. Last time we were there almost twenty years ago!
Der Glaube an den Sieg und an die eigene militärische Wirksamkeit ist eines der ersten Opfer im „hybriden Krieg“. Durch gezielte Desinformation, Einflusskampagnen und „alternative Fakten“ wird der Optimismus in eine Dystopie verwandelt. Mangelndes Vertrauen in die eigenen Fähigkeiten wird durch den Feind gefördert. Strategische Kommunikation (StratKomm) hält dagegen und zeigt dem Feind, wie nutzlos es ist, hier anzugreifen.
Following an Invitation of the Museum Wehrgeschichte Oberösterreich, on July 5 we participated in an Open House event for emergency response organizations on the grounds of the former Hiller Barracks in Ebelsberg near Linz.
Together with the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion we again open our workshops for the 11th Annual Gathering of the Traditionsverband in Prottes.
As usual we present our vehicle collection (including the additions since last year) and our culinary team will as always do its utmost to operate the field kitchen at maximum capacity :-)!
