On September 13 we again attended the Open Day of the 3rd HQ Battalion in Mautern. A year ago unfortunately we had to skip this invitation, but this time we could schedule it as part of our return trip from Wels the weekend before.
On September 6 we participated at the Open Day of the 14th Tank Battalion in Wels - the home of our Leopard 2 tanks.
With Kürassier, APC Saurer and Steyr 680 truck we represented the typical equipment of Austrian mechanized troops in the 1970s and 1980s.
August 22-24 marked the already fourth time that we could run our "From Haflinger to Kürassier" event together with the 3rd Reconaissance and Artillery Batallion on the Totenhauer proving grounds. Again we presented historic wheeled and tracked military vehicles in their "natural habitat" and allowed the interested public the experience of military offroad driving.
On August 30/31 we again opened our workshop doors for the already 11th Annual Fall Gathering. As usual we were again supported by our military partner (the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion in Mistelbach) with one of their M109 A5Ö howitzers and a Husar recon vehicle.
August 21st is the Tradition Day of the Austrian Reconnaissance Troop, and this year this celebration included a special event for us. Recognizing our long-standing cooperation and friendship with the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Batallion in the Mitelbach Bolfras Barracks, the Traditionsverband presented a commemorative band to the Batallion Standard.
