Today we start our new Video-Series presenting Vehicles from our Collection

It's done - the first in a future series of videos presenting vehicles from our collection is online!

The ÖAF 34.440 is the "heavy-weight champion" in our fleet. We present the history and technology behind this impressive vehicle, which between 1983 and 2021 has been the backbone in the heavy transportation groups of the Austrian Military. Together with the 55-ton 8-axle low-boy from Goldhofer, this system handled even the heaviest fighting and recovery vehicles.

From now on, we will regularly be releasing new videos on vehicles from our collection - watch, subscribe and like!

As part of the release of our Annual Gathering Video we already mentioned that we are creating a new, dedicated HKFW Youtube channel. Seventh Annual Fall Gathering of the Traditionsverband Again a Smashing Hit

After the COVID-related cancellation last year, on September 4&5 we could resume our traditional Fall Gathering for the seventh time - again supported by the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion from Mistelbach. Brilliant Indian Summer weather brought more than 600 guests (all perfectly recorded according to the applicable 3G-rules). The Battalion again brought one of their M109A5Ö self-propelled howitzers as well as a "Husar" Recon vehicle, while the Vienna Military History Museum contributed the Saurer APC prototype and their Daimler Dingo scout car. For the first time, our friends from the Brits Living History Society joined us and prepared a "very British" camp for the duration of the event.
