This year for the first time we are sending our traditional Season's Greetings as a video.

During the 2021 Annual Gathering of the Traditionsverband, Col W.Posch presented the history of Austrian tank development, starting from the war-time Steyr "Raupenschlepper Ost" via the Hacker Motormuli and the first APC prototype developed by Saurer, and ending with the final manufacuring model of the Austrian APC built by Steyr.

Throughout 2021, all previously-existing cooperations of the Austrian Armed Forces with external groups and associations have been re-evaluated in preparation for a re-launch. As of October 25 2021, we have been recognized as official "Partner of the Austrian Armed Forces", reflecting our activities throughout our first ten years. As part of this recognition, the 3rd Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion (AAB3) in Mistelbach has been selected as our military counterpart - also recognizing our intensive cooperation with this unit over the recent years. Obviously, we will not completely sever our ties to our "historic home", the Motorization Instititute of the Army Logistics School in Zwölfaxing, however the geographic proximity to our friends in Mistelbach has proven to be an excellent basis for our future cooperation.

The ÖAF 34.440 is the "heavy-weight champion" in our fleet. We present the history and technology behind this impressive vehicle, which between 1983 and 2021 has been the backbone in the heavy transportation groups of the Austrian Military. Together with the 55-ton 8-axle low-boy from Goldhofer, this system handled even the heaviest fighting and recovery vehicles.
